The arcade streets in Haikou basically belong to the Baroque style, with the number of floors varying from two to four. All the ground floors have a three-meter-wide riding gallery, which is used as a shop; the first floor and above have dormer windows, which are used as bedrooms or living rooms; the roofs of the buildings have gables along the street, and the side facing the street is painted with flowers, the sun, fish, pine and cranes.
