Wanchun Conference Haikou

Introduction & Highlights

With plenty of dazzling decorations and irresistible activities, Haikou's Wanchun Conference, an unmissable event in Hainan island, has been increasingly attracting millions of tourists and locals, willing to take part in local culture expressions.

Traditionally held during the “Spring Festival,” from the first day of the new lunar year until the “Lantern Festival,” it lasts for 15 days, bringing a wave of charm and magic to Hainan's capital city, you won’t certainly resist.

If you're a video or a photography lover, here you will have a perfect opportunity to overflow with creativity thanks to the shining temples, enchanted flowers and magic creatures embellished with neon lights that transform overnight. Rest assured you won't be short of inspiration to get some memorable shots.

During this festival, you can also enjoy exquisite folk culture performances, a “Lion Dance show” and a mesmerising "Lantern Show,” whilst celebrating the arrival of a New Year, full of renewed ambitions and dreams.

The Wanchun Conference founded by the Chinese government, was first held in 2006, becoming, gradually, a big part of Hainan’s identity.

As part of that journey, every year, Haikou dresses up as a tropical city of lights, in which you will feel welcomed and cherished, and make fond memories.
